Knee Pain

Knee Injuries are one of the more common injuries that we see in the clinic, whether your knee pain is from running, field sports or your knee pain may have come on gradually and is now affecting your daily life. Two people may experience knee pain in the exact same area but for very different reasons.

Their pain may be because they are doing too much or alternatively, they may have knee pain because they are not doing enough.

Often knee pain stems from an issue somewhere else whether, that be at your hip or ankle. Here at the clinic, we will assess and address all those areas and find the true cause of your knee pain.

Our approach here is an active one. We want to get you back doing what you want to be doing, what you love. Generally, we want get you moving early on and provide you with some exercises that allow you to experience some initial relief. Then we tend to focus on building the strength and function of your knee and get you working towards your goals.

We also work a lot with post-surgical knees, whether ACL or meniscus issues.
We provide you with a very clear plan of all the things you can and can’t do to get back to your physical best.

If you have any issues or questions, please contact us here at the clinic and we would be happy to help.

Here at the clinic we understand that sitting on the sidelines or not being able to give your all in your sport can be very frustrating and take from your enjoyment of life in general. Often the rehab people are prescribed for their knee pain does not match the demands of their sport. This is quite a common issue.Often when people decide to get fit and lose a bit of weight injuries can crop up. This can be very dis-heartening. We will provide you with a clear plan of all the things you can/can’t do to get you back on track as soon as possible.

Here at the clinic we have a lot of experience working with people after their knee surgery. We have helped people at all stages of their recovery whether that be 1 week or 3 years post-surgery. Often the rehab given after surgery becomes too easy a few months down the line or doesn’t sufficiently prepare you for your sport. We will work with you to get you back to your physical best and back doing what you love.
